This is Our Sisterhood

The Beginning of the Sisterhood

This is a momentous occasion. As of this night, May 5, 2012, my sister and I became the owners of a black pair of gorgeous gaucho pants. As we tried them on, we realized they fit us both. This is quite a surprise, as we are not usually able to wear the same size pants. I am 18, and my little sister Karen, is 14. As I am soon off to college, and her to start high school, we realize that our life is about to change. These pants we have found are going to start something. This is the start of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Gauchos. Just as the name and the reference implies, it is the beginning of a new era of sisterhood between us. As soon as I leave for college, with the pants in hand, all of our rules will be initiated. Don't worry, we have the summer to count down, and we will post occasionally about our life in the pants until then. Before that, however, we have written, physically, the rules of the pants and the sisterhood. We will share them with you. These rules will stand firm unless there is a vacation, or a communication of the sisters. Any amendments will be added on our blog. These changes may or may not be permanent.

The Rules of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Gauchos

  1. No one other than the sisters may wear the pants.
  2. We will each keep the pants for one week. We will only wear the pants for one day of the week.
  3. We will write a blog entry of our day with the pants.
  4. We will wash the pants before other sister receives them.
  5. There will be no thinking or saying one is fat while wearing the pants.
  6. There will be no vandalism of the pants in any way.
  7. No socks will be worn with the pants. It's tacky.
  8. Always be a lady while wearing the pants.
  9. Do one thing to spoil yourself while wearing the pants. Document it.
  10. Remember. Pants = Love. Love your sister. Love yourself.
